Neil made an appearance

on the morning show - TV AM

Neil was performing at Wembley and TV AM ran a competition at the time.

The prize was to meet Neil and see his show at Wembley.

Susan and Colin Britton were the lucky winners.

Neil - Surprise! Hi Gang!

Neil - Hi darling.

Neil - Hi Colin. How are you?

Susan - Just phone up and answer some questions.

Neil - Is that all?

Colin - Yes, say what film you were in?

Neil - Oh….. what FILM I was in? What WAS that film??????

Susan - We are to be at TV AM in the morning.

Neil - You are? Tomorrow?

Say Good Morning to everybody

because I'm going to be sleeping in tomorrow after this show.

Susan - We have a morning call at

quarter to six in the morning.

Neil - Yes I know. I did that show.

But I have a show tonight. I'll be sleeping in but

... (blowing a kiss)... God Bless.

There was then concert footage of Neil singing Mountains Of Love

The show finished with the couple being interviewed about their meeting with Neil.

When you meet your idols for the first time,

you can sometimes be let down.

What sort of person did he come across as being?

Susan - He was natural. He was a nice person.

Colin - A complete showman, absolutely brilliant.

Every song he sang. It was just fantastic.
